EFBCopilot LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application, EFBCopilot (the "App"), collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our software.

1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

EFBCopilot is designed to function as an offline Electronic Flight Bag (EFB). Because of this design architecture, our data collection is strictly limited to information required for core navigational functionality.

• Device Location Data (GPS): EFBCopilot requires access to your device's precise location (GPS telemetry) to provide critical in-flight situational awareness. This includes displaying your aircraft's position on the moving map, rendering cross-sectional terrain profiles, computing VNAV glidepaths, providing Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS) alerts, and transmitting steering commands to integrated autopilot hardware.
• Background Location: If authorized by the user, the App may access your location while running in the background strictly to maintain active flight logs, calculate continuous cross-track error (XTE), and provide uninterrupted audio alerts for terrain and traffic avoidance while the screen is off or another app is in focus.
• External Hardware Telemetry: The App processes data received from user-supplied hardware connected via Wi-Fi (such as Stratux receivers, ForeFlight Sentry, or other GDL90 devices) to render local ADS-B traffic, weather matrices, and AHRS attitude data.

2. Data Processing and Storage (No Off-Device Tracking)

We believe your flight data belongs to you. EFBCopilot does not transmit your personal location data, flight plans, or GPS telemetry to any remote servers or third-party networks.

All navigational processing, route calculation, and map rendering occurs strictly locally on your physical device. Any user data stored by the App (such as saved user waypoints or custom aircraft profiles) is stored locally in the App's isolated storage directory on your hardware.

3. Third-Party Access

Because EFBCopilot processes your location and flight data entirely on-device, we do not share, sell, or disclose your navigational data to third-party advertisers, tracking networks, or analytics providers. The App relies solely on offline chart data compression and direct local hardware inputs.

4. Permissions Required

To deliver complete EFB functionality, EFBCopilot requests the following Android system permissions:

• Location (Foreground and Background): Required to render the moving map, compute flight kinematics, and provide continuous situational awareness and terrain warnings.
• Storage / File Access: Required to access and cache high-resolution offline VFR/IFR charts, approach plates, and terrain databases stored on your device.
• Network / Wi-Fi Access: Required strictly to establish connections with local cockpit hardware (e.g., ADS-B IN receivers) and to download routine chart and database updates initiated by the user.

5. Your Control Over Your Data

You maintain full control over the data generated by EFBCopilot. You can delete all saved routes, waypoints, and aircraft profiles at any time by clearing the App's data within your device's Android System Settings, or by uninstalling the application.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or to comply with Google Play Developer Policies. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document and providing notice within the App's release notes.
